Surat, Gujarat, 30 December 2025: Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy were crowned champions of the 3rd Hockey India Junior Men Academy Championship 2025 – Zone A & B after a disciplined 4–0 win over S.G.P.C Hockey Academy in the final at the Veer Narmad South Gujarat University Hockey Ground on Tuesday. Earlier in the day, Namdhari XI secured third place with a commanding 7–0 win over Ghumanhera Risers Academy.

Roundglass Punjab take control in the final

Roundglass Punjab approached the final with structure and patience, gradually building pressure through midfield control and quick ball circulation. The breakthrough came in the 27th minute when Sukhpreet Singh finished off a well-constructed move to make it 1–0.

The lead doubled almost immediately after half-time. Jarman Singh struck in the 35th minute, giving Roundglass a cushion and forcing S.G.P.C Hockey Academy to chase the game. As the match opened up, Roundglass capitalised on the spaces available. Sukhmanpreet Singh added the third in the 51st minute, before Amandeep closed out the scoring in the 56th minute to complete a professional performance.

Roundglass combined solid defensive organisation with clinical finishing in the circle, rarely allowing their opponents a way back into the contest.

Namdhari XI dominate third-place playoff

In the third-place match, Namdhari XI delivered one of the most complete team displays of the tournament, defeating Ghumanhera Risers Academy 7–0.

Bihara Singh and Gurdayal Singh both scored twice — Bihara striking in the 23rd and 52nd minutes and Gurdayal adding goals in the 30th and 58th minutes. Vikram (26’), Nikhil (41’) and Sehajpreet Singh (53’) contributed a goal each as Namdhari XI controlled the tempo from start to finish, maintaining attacking pressure while remaining compact at the back.
